News Alert: Travel vaccinations postponed...

Right I said I'd do this every week and  I'm nothing if not diligent (!) so here goes.

Good send off from work, good few pints and was good to , you know, say 'see you later' to them all.

Couldn't get my jabs as I had a fever, fever all through the night, fever and a throat infection so had to go on a course of anti-biotics so they'll have to wait until next week.  It's ok though, I pulled through and feeling better as the week moves on.  Ireland is full of small little illnesses so I cant wait to get to the safety of Africa.

Moved out of my flat in Dublin, almost. Few more small bits and pieces to move down.

My last weekend in Ireland and looking forward to the big event, a right send off  - Ireland vs England in Croke Park. Come on Ireland.

Monday, I'll start panicking.  Packing. Sorry, packing my bags.

Only a few more sleeps to go Kenya, I'm coming!!!!

Somebody call my bluff!

OK, I'm going to break the seal on this blog thing so here goes...

Two weeks today I'll be on a flight to Heathrow to catch a connecting flight to Nairobi, Kenya.  That is two weeks.   It's proper milestones from here on.

Today's signpost to impending.....departure....is that today is my last day in work.  It's going to be odd but of course looking forward to lunch and a couple of pints after. Tomorrow, we're rolling back the years and 7 salubrious characters are heading to Miltown Malby for a 3 0'clock session. It'll be embarrassing.

But otherwise, just the 14 days to go. Few jabs yet to get, will start taking my mind altering malaria tablets next week, tax and NI details to sort out, family dinner, pack....  One or two more milestones. Otherwise, I am set. Absolutely 100% set. Completely at utterly committed and eager....honest.

Two weeks......
